32 Fortescue Avenue was a Victorian workshop on three storeys. Once an inkworks, it has all the hallmarks of functional structure-iron windows in robust brickwork with heavy timber floors – a simple staircase leading up to six spaces for Silent Studios and Caz Hildebrand’s Here Design. Simply serviced and detailed in a modern, all white, robust style the fitting out provides a perfect backdrop for high quality multi-disciplinary graphic design, music studio and production activity and their guests. In pre-planning, the clients positively tested the old floor with their office chairs so that the stylishly shabby boards could remain.
