St Paul’s Church in Hackney is a listed church designed by the architect Henry Cowell Boyes in 1891. The client, Seventh Day Adventists, respect the history of building and have a keen desire to repair and restore it. The building had been neglected by previous users, - the nave was fitted with a low ceiling, tacky lean-to’s attached to the perimeter and walls crudely painted. With little money of their own we. helped raise grants and other concessions. Completed first phase roofing shows the massive plain tiled roofs, tower, spire bridges and delightful turrets.
